Physician Assistant; PA​/Nurse Practitioner; NP Hospitalist PRN

Overview

Functions in collaboration with qualified physicians within the framework of jointly approved guidelines and protocols.

• Performs advanced patient assessments including complete health and psychosocial history and physical assessment.
• Orders and interprets routine laboratory tests.
• Orders appropriate medications and/or medical devices.
• Provides for therapeutic treatments and procedures as per delegation of services agreement.
• Seeks consultation of the physician for patient conditions outlined in agreement.
• Arranges referrals to other members of the health team as needed and to community resources as appropriate.
• Demonstrates awareness of current state, federal and local laws governing the delivery of care, including reporting as required by law and complying with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices.
• Respects the dignity and privacy of patients. Provides open and timely communication and education to patients, families and significant others to allow participation in care.
• Demonstrates a commitment to personal growth and development by obtaining continuing education in areas of practice and maintain current CPR and other appropriate licensures/certifications.
• Demonstrates professional appearance and conduct including excellent attendance record.
• Works to maintain a good rapport and cooperative working relationship with patients, families and staff.
• Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner to the community.
• Follows proper procedures for the disposal of hazardous waste.

• $46.75 to $70.13/hour
• Starting wage dependent upon experience, education, and skill-set

• Current Colorado PA License or NP License, DORA.
• Current DEA license
• Current BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Must be able to prioritize and have cognitive reasoning skills
