Job Overview
Western States Fire Protection is looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Technician. The ideal candidate is outgoing, highly self-motivated, and able to problem solve. They will have strong communication skills and a professional image, and be able to handle all aspects of a project from install to programming, with strong troubleshooting and service capabilities. The pay range is $20.00–$38.00 per hour depending on experience and licenses.
Job Responsibilities
- Site verifications of fire alarm installations
- Analysis of blueprints
- Coordination with other disciplines, engineers, general contractors and end users
- Interact with clients, field personnel and Fire Marshals
- Installation of fire alarm equipment
Job Qualifications
- NICET I certification or willingness to obtain within 1 year
- OSHA 30 is a plus
- Manufacturers certificates preferred
- 5 years' service or install experience preferred
- Solid knowledge of NFPA 72, Factory Mutual and applicable codes
- Ability to work independently and in team/training environments
- Knowledge of programming and troubleshooting multiple fire alarm panel manufacturers
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Understanding of expenses and schedules
- Valid driver's license; willing to travel within the state of Colorado
- Willing to pass post-offer drug test, background and reference checks
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without accommodation
- Regular bending, reaching, climbing and walking
