ResponsibilitiesThis Deputy County Attorney provides competent legal advice and representation to the Board of Supervisors (BOS), other County elected officials, and County department heads. The attorney advances County goals, minimizes litigation risk, and protects the personal liability of elected officials. The role advises on civil actions, defends the County in actions not covered by the County insurance risk pool, reviews and approves legal contracts, assists the County Attorney with assigned tasks and acts on behalf of the County Attorney in adjudicative proceedings, provides counsel to newer attorneys, and performs other duties as assigned.
