American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN with 3+ years of critical care experience for a position requiring an AZ or compact RN license and call coverage.

• Six-bed Medical Observation/Step-down Unit (MOSU) providing care for post-surgical, post cardiac catheterization/PCI, respiratory failure, sepsis, DKA, and AKI patients
• Patient ratios:
  Critical 2:1, Step Down 4:1, Standard 6:1
• 12-hour night shifts (7p-7a) plus call requirements
• Float required to Med/Surg, Tele, Step-Down, and Observation floors
• Utilizes medication infusion pumps, rapid infuser, bedside cardiac monitors, mechanical ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and bladder scanner

• Active AZ or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 3 years of critical care nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Experience with initiation/titration/management of vasopressors, thrombolytics, antihypertensives, antidiabetics, and sedation
• Ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring experience required
• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation skills required
• Experience with sepsis management, central line, arterial line, and chest tube management required
• Blood administration experience required
• Flu vaccine required with no exceptions

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for critically ill post-surgical and medically complex patients
• Must reside outside a 100-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for the travel position
• RTO limited to no more than 3 days per 13-week contract
• Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week assignment without guaranteed hours applying
