We are looking for a practical, proactive and dependable individual who takes pride in creating safe, welcoming and well-maintained environments where children and colleagues can thrive.
Based predominantly at St Philip Howard Catholic Voluntary Academy
, you will play an important role in supporting a cluster of schools across the Glossop area, helping to ensure that our buildings, grounds and facilities are safe, secure and ready for each school day.
This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are quite the same. From carrying out essential maintenance and supporting site security to ensuring health and safety standards are met, your work will make a real difference to the everyday experience of our school communities.
What will you be doing?Keeping our schools looking their best - Undertaking general maintenance, minor repairs and routine checks to ensure our buildings and grounds remain safe, welcoming and well presented.
Creating safe and secure environments - Supporting site security, completing health and safety inspections, identifying potential risks and helping us maintain high standards of compliance.
Supporting the smooth running of our schools - Providing practical caretaking and porterage support, working with contractors and assisting with the day-to-day management of our premises.
Looking after our buildings and resources - Monitoring heating and building systems, supporting energy efficiency and helping us make sustainable choices.
Being part of something bigger - Working collaboratively with school colleagues and the wider estates team, sharing your skills and responding flexibly to the needs of our schools.
Above all, we are looking for someone who genuinely cares about the environment in which our children learn and our colleagues work.
