Pipe Fitter Welder - TIG Process Pipework
Location:
Glossop, Derbyshire, SK13 7AJ
Duration: 6-month contract with the potential for further work
Hours:
10hours per day Monday-Friday, 7.30am-17.30pm with upcoming weekend working.
Our client is a process pipework engineering contractor, with more than 50 years' experience in process and industrial pipework. The company handles everything from single pipe spools to full process plant installations, including designing, fabricating and installing industrial pipework systems, vessels and steel work structures across a range of industrial sectors. Alongside this, it provides project management for major process plant installations, testing and commissioning of gas and oil piping, and fabrication of self-contained process plants.
The company has worked in some of the most sensitive installations in the country, including Top-Tier COMAH sites.
You'll join their process pipework team on a live installation at a food production facility in Glossop, SK13 7AJ
, installing hygienic stainless-steel schedule 10 and dairy process pipework.
- Installing and butt-welding stainless-steel schedule 10 process pipework, including dairy lines.
- Fabricating and welding thin wall stainless steel pipework to hygienic standards.
- Working on jacketed pipework where required.
- Welding carbon steel process pipework where required.
- Fabricating and welding brackets, supports and associated metalwork.
- Supporting fellow welders and the wider installation team.
- Living within commuting distance of Glossop, ideally in the High Peak, Tameside or Greater Manchester areas.
- Proven TIG welding and fabrication experience on stainless and carbon steel process pipework in a food, dairy, drink or petrochemical environment (essential).
- Solid all-round welding skills, with current or previous coding a definite advantage.
- A hygiene-conscious approach to quality and comfortable working in a live production environment.
Competitive hourly rates between £30.00-£39.00 CIS/Ltd, with the chance to work with an established process pipework engineering business.
