Semiconductor Engineering Technician – First Shift

Location:

35 Dory Road, Gloucester, MA 09130

Shift: Monday through Friday from 5:45 am to 3:30 pm

Pay: $30–$35/hour (depends on experience)

• Perform electro‑mechanical technical functions: design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, troubleshooting, and assembly of electronics and electro‑mechanical systems.
• Test and troubleshoot system‑level and component‑level problems in electrical and mechanical systems.
• Perform new system installations, NPI setups, and field upgrades.
• Work from schematics, diagrams, layouts, and written/verbal instructions to conduct testing and troubleshooting.
• Compile logbooks and test documentation with strong technical writing skills.
• Conduct mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing on AMAT platforms per engineering and manufacturing specifications.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and secure work environment, following all safety standards.
• Assist in correcting process issues and perform rework as needed, generating quality notifications.

• Ability to write detailed technical reports and test procedures.
• Competence in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing on VSE platforms.
• Full understanding of manufacturing and engineering processes.
• Ability to build equipment from unreleased schematics, assembly drawings, and pictures.
• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Familiarity with electrical test devices, meters, and fiber optic communications.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.

• Experience with motion controls using PMAC.

• Build and fabrication skills.
• Familiarity with measuring devices.
