Weekend Receptionist/Welcome Host

Waylands Volvo, Gloucester

We are looking for a customer focused Weekend Receptionist/Welcome Host at our Volvo dealership in Gloucester. This role is more than meeting and greeting or answering the telephone. You are often our customer’s first impression of Waylands, and as such we’re looking for someone who takes pride in delivering a first‑class customer experience. Our preferred candidate will bring personality, warmth and efficiency to the role.

Waylands is a successful and growing motor retail group, with 15 representation points across the Thames Valley and the M4 corridor, extending into South Wales.

Duties will include
  • Meeting, greeting and registering customers and visitors to the dealership, including offering refreshments.
  • Answering the phone and transferring to Sales, Service and Parts, or recording messages on the call log.
  • Post and courier management.
  • Ensuring the housekeeping and cleanliness of the showroom and waiting areas is excellent, reporting any issues to a manager.
About You
  • You should be well presented.
  • You should be a team player.
  • You must have excellent communication skills and a professional manner.
  • You should be comfortable using Microsoft Office and related software packages.
  • Preferably have enough flexibility to cover holiday and sickness with other showroom hosts.
Salary, Hours and Benefits
  • Salary: £8,253.00 per annum.
  • Hours:

    Saturdays (9am to 5pm with a 30‑minute break) and Sundays (10am to 4pm), a total of 14 hours per week.
  • A pro‑rata percentage of 31 days holiday per year (including Bank Holidays)
