Lease Property Clerk

Location: Gloucester

Contract Type: Full Time, 40hrs a week, Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:00

Mears Group are a highly established Nationwide Business; our Gloucester head office are now looking to recruit an additional Lease Property Clerk to join their already dedicated Team.

About the role:

You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining accurate and up-to-date property records, data validation, and proactively dealing with any matters arising, promote a good working relationship between our landlords, our branch staff and the rest of the finance department. The post holder will also help to resolve queries across portfolios whilst building knowledge and proactively seeking more efficient ways of working.

  • To process lease agreements across a number of portfolios, actively investigating and reviewing financial correspondence relating to property ownership
  • To adhere to internal controls with respect to all the departmental functions
  • To ensure departmental records on all portfolios are accurately maintained
  • Prompt processing of all correspondence documents, responding quickly to resolve any issues arising, liaising with colleagues, branches, landlords or agents
  • Provide a high standard of customer service, both internally and externally, at all times
  • Participate in training and other development opportunities to maintain knowledge and understanding of the wider departmental activities
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline ledger processes and enhance efficiency

Please note all training will be provided.

Key Criteria:

  • Previous administration experience in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
  • Experience of working with and providing a high-quality service to internal and external customers
  • Strong IT and database skills with proven accuracy in data entry.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to communicate and build relationships at all levels and with people from varying backgrounds, maintaining confidentiality
  • Ability to deal with complex situations with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrable ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team,
  • A proactive approach to tasks, highly organised with the ability to prioritise and ability to work to deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail.
