Part-Time Care Navigator Gloucester
18-25 hours per week, £12.71 per hour Temporary position with potential to become permanent

Our client, a busy GP practice in Gloucester, is seeking a professional and customer-focused Care Navigator to join their friendly team. Supporting a patient base of approximately 5,000 patients, you will play a key role in ensuring patients receive an excellent service while helping the practice run efficiently.

Working within a team of around five Care Navigators, this is an ideal opportunity for someone with previous reception or administrative experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

The available shifts are:
Monday to Friday.
8:30am - 1:00pm2:00pm - 6:30pmPlease note that these hours are fixed and cannot be altered. Additional hours may occasionally be required to cover holidays or sickness and will always be agreed in advance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greeting patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
  • Managing patient flow and responding to enquiries efficiently
  • Booking, amending and cancelling appointments using the practice management system
  • Maintaining accurate patient records for both new and existing patients
  • Handling incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and letters
  • Processing confidential patient information in line with GDPR and NHS guidelines
  • Providing administrative support to clinicians and practice staff
  • Ensuring the reception area remains clean, organised and welcoming
About You
  • Previous reception or administration experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good IT and computer literacy skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to multi task and prioritise workloads effectively
  • A professional and discreet approach when handling confidential information
