The Role

As a Stores and Quality Controller, you’ll join a growing team developing and supporting next‑generation technology for customers on the front line. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high‑impact projects that support national security while building your technical, operational and quality expertise.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring materials, components and finished products meet the highest standards, helping us deliver reliable, safe and effective solutions to our defence partners. Your attention to detail and coordination skills will directly influence the quality of the equipment we supply, giving you a unique opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the defence, aerospace and engineering sectors.

Day‑to‑Day

Responsibilities
  • Conduct incoming goods inspections to ensure all deliveries comply with purchase order requirements.
  • Perform in‑process and patrol inspections to maintain a high build standard across product lines.
  • Manage the logistics of asset movements between sites, including packing and meeting customer‑driven deadlines.
  • Maintain and organise the stores area, including carrying out rack inspections and ensuring operational cleanliness.
  • Support the quality team by conducting final inspections, producing Certificates of Conformance (Cof Cs), managing non‑conformities and overseeing calibration and PAT testing activities.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Ashchurch, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire.

Essential Experience
  • Experience working in a goods‑in/stores environment and physical stamina to handle inventory tasks.
  • Strong quality control background.
  • Competent in manual inspection, including the use of measuring equipment, such as verniers, micrometers, etc.
  • Experience in electro‑mechanical inspection, reading and understanding electrical and mechanical drawings, and competent in the calibration process.
Qualifications
  • GCSEs in English and Maths / NVQ.
  • Possess a full UK driving licence.
Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be a UK national and be able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
