Join Our Client’s Team as a MET Technician in Gloucester

Our client, a leading provider in the UK automotive accident repair industry, is seeking a skilled MET Technician to join their busy centre in Gloucester. Removing damaged parts to facilitate repairs, ensuring safe storage for refitting
Checking for additional damage or required parts, liaising with the Vehicle Damage Assessor to order replacements
Confirming all required parts are present, correct, and suitable for repair
Replacing damaged structural or cosmetic panels with care to preserve painted surfaces and maintain manufacturer panel gaps
Replacing mechanical components such as steering, drivetrain, or engine parts where necessary
Resetting vehicle control units using diagnostic equipment
Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and internal procedures
Attending regular health and safety training sessions
Maintaining tools, equipment, and materials to industry standards
Supporting colleagues and undertaking additional reasonable duties as required

Requirements:

Recognised qualification in automotive MET or vehicle body repair, or working towards an IMI qualification is preferred
Proven experience as a MET Technician, with a strong track record in vehicle body repair, strip and fit, or broad mechanical repair skills
Ability to work efficiently under pressure, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines
High attention to detail ensuring repairs meet manufacturer and industry standards
Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team
Full UK driving licence with minimal points
