MOT Technician

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable automotive service centre and tyre retailer with multiple centres nationwide, for an experienced MOT Technician to join their team in Gloucester.

Standard 42.5-hour working week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm, with 1 in 2 Saturdays, 8:30am-4:00pm.

Duties of an MOT Technician:

Conduct MOT tests on customer vehicles following Ministry standards.
Diagnose and repair vehicle issues efficiently.
Assist with general servicing and repair tasks as required.
Provide high-quality work within specified time frames as an MOT Technician.
Support front reception with customer enquiries when needed.
Maintain accurate records and adhere to safety and compliance protocols.

Requirements of an MOT Technician:

Proven experience as an MOT Technician.
MOT licence valid and held for at least 6 months.
UK driving licence with minimal points.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills and customer focused approach.
Reside within reasonable commuting distance of Gloucester.
Relevant vocational training or apprenticeship background.
