Our client, a reputable automotive service centre and tyre retailer with multiple locations nationwide, is actively seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join their busy Gloucester workshop. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester looking to advance their career within a forward‑thinking and supportive company. The Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester role is vital to delivering high standards of vehicle safety and customer satisfaction, and our client is keen to find a dedicated professional to join their team.

- Working hours:
42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am‑5:00pm, with 1 in 2 Saturdays (8:30am‑4:00pm)
- Carry out MOT testing on customer vehicles to Ministry standards
- Diagnose vehicle faults accurately and efficiently
- Perform service and repair work to a high standard
- Support the wider workshop team with general vehicle maintenance tasks
- Occasionally assist at reception with customer enquiries, providing excellent customer service
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety guidelines and company policies
- Proven experience as an MOT Tester and Vehicle Technician within a professional workshop environment
- Valid MOT licence and a full UK driving licence held for at least 6 months with minimal points
- Ability to produce high-quality work within specified time frames
- Friendly and approachable manner, capable of customer interaction when needed
- Live within reasonable commuting distance of Gloucester
- Strong commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
