Service Advisor

We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable franchise-approved commercial vehicle dealer group with multiple sites nationwide for a Vehicle Service Advisor at their busy Gloucester dealership. Deal directly with customers to deliver exceptional service and ensure customer satisfaction
Manage workshop loading effectively, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
Book vehicle appointments that align with workshop capacity and customer convenience
Identify customer needs and provide accurate, fully inclusive quotations
Produce detailed job cards, estimates, and invoices while ensuring clarity on work carried out
Communicate thoroughly with customers about repair work and additional sales opportunities
Prepare warranty job cards in accordance with manufacturer policies and procedures
Record all work accurately, including retail, warranty, internal, and non-chargeable repairs
Liaise with parts department to ensure availability of required parts
Build rapport with customers and maintain high standards of professionalism at all times

Requirements of a Service Advisor:

Previous experience as a Vehicle Service Advisor or in a similar role within the automotive sector
Strong customer service skills coupled with excellent communication abilities
Organisational skills with proficiency in IT systems; experience with Kerridge/Keyloop is preferable
A valid UK driving licence with minimal points
Knowledge of warranty procedures and experience working with commercial vehicles is advantageous but not essential
