About the Role

Our client is a well-established automotive business with a busy bodyshop in Gloucester, and they are currently looking for an experienced IMI-qualified Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) to join their growing team.

This role will involve assessing accident-damaged vehicles, identifying the repairs required and producing accurate estimates to ensure vehicles are repaired safely, efficiently and to the correct industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Inspect accident-damaged vehicles and assess the extent of damage

* Produce accurate repair estimates and identify all required parts and labour

* Determine the most appropriate repair methods in line with manufacturer guidelines

* Liaise with customers, insurers and workshop teams throughout the repair process

* Monitor repairs and update estimates where additional damage is identified

* Ensure estimates and repair plans are completed accurately and efficiently

* Work closely with Panel, MET and Paint Technicians

* Ensure repairs comply with manufacturer and industry standards

* Maintain accurate records and repair documentation

* Support the smooth and efficient running of the bodyshop

Requirements

* IMI qualification in Vehicle Damage Assessment / Estimating

* Proven experience as a VDA / Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator

* Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair processes

* Experience assessing accident-damaged vehicles

* Excellent understanding of repair methods, parts and labour requirements

* Strong attention to detail and accuracy

* Excellent communication and customer service skills

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Full UK Driving Licence
