The RoleAs a Faults Supervisor, you will coordinate and oversee our reactionary teams responsible for responding to street works faults, reinstatement defects and emergency civils works. You will ensure all works are carried out safely, efficiently and in line with NRSWA legislation and client requirements, acting as a key link between our operatives, management and client teams. This is a fast‑paced role that requires strong decision making, excellent communication and the ability to manage multiple jobs and teams simultaneously, including participation in an out‑of‑hours fault rota to support 24/7 service delivery.
Responsibilities- Allocate and brief faults teams, ensuring resources and job details are communicated clearly
- Manage and monitor live fault works, ensuring timely and compliant completion
- Liaise with client team leaders, jointers and technicians to provide updates and resolve issues
- Confirm and plan traffic management requirements with Doocey Traffic Management
- Act as first point of escalation for urgent or out‑of‑hours fault response
- Maintain accurate fault logs, job packs and track sheet submissions for reporting
- Conduct site audits, safety briefings and always ensure safe working practices
- Prepare and manage the weekly rota for faults teams, ensuring sufficient coverage
- Collate and submit plant/vehicle defect and torque paperwork (F91 / checklists)
- Attend review meetings to ensure job values and operational data are captured accurately
- Participate in damage debriefs and contribute to root cause and improvement actions
- Support recruitment and interviewing for new reactive operations personnel
- Attend relevant training, maintain CPD and remain up to date with NRSWA and safety standards
- Self‑motivated, proactive and able to work under pressure in a reactive environment
- Clear and confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Professional approach when dealing with clients, stakeholders and operational teams
- Strong organisational ability with excellent attention to detail
- Solutions‑focused with a can‑do attitude, without compromising safety or compliance
- Previous experience supervising utilities, street works, reinstatement or civils teams
- Strong understanding of NRSWA regulations and reinstatement quality standards
- Experience managing multiple live jobs and allocations operational resources
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital job/works management systems
- Full UK driving licence
- NRSWA Supervisor, First Aid, SHEQ or safety regulations
- First Aid
