Come make a real difference as our Business Analyst
Everyone should have a warm, safe, affordable home. As Business Analyst, you’ll play a key role in helping us provide this for our tenants.
You’ll be responsible for:
* Working with colleagues, customers, managers and other stakeholders to identify, understand and clearly define business needs, challenges and improvement opportunities.
* Plan and undertake requirements-gathering activities, including workshops, interviews, observations, surveys, document reviews and data analysis.
* Gather, analyse, document, prioritise and validate business, user, functional and non-functional requirements.
* Translate complex business needs into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and business rules that can be understood by operational colleagues, technical specialists and suppliers.
* Maintain traceability between identified business needs, agreed requirements, delivered solutions and expected benefits.
* Manage changes to requirements, ensuring that their effects on scope, cost, timescale, risk and expected benefits are understood and communicated.
What you’ll bring to our team
You’ll be a curious and structured problem solver who is comfortable getting underneath an issue before jumping to a solution. You’ll bring people together, ask the right questions and turn complex information into clear requirements and practical recommendations. You’ll be confident working with project managers, subject matter experts, operational teams, technical colleagues and suppliers, while keeping our tenants and the intended business outcome at the heart of your analysis.
What we’re looking for
You’ll bring experience of working in a project or change environment, with a practical approach to understanding business problems and identifying opportunities for improvement.
You’ll be confident gathering and translating requirements, mapping processes, analysing information and facilitating discussions with a range of stakeholders. You’ll be able to challenge assumptions constructively, turn complex information into clear recommendations and support projects through to testing and implementation.
You’ll be organised, collaborative and comfortable managing competing priorities, with good digital skills and experience using tools to support analysis, process mapping, project delivery and collaboration.
Experience of working in social housing or a similar customer-focused or regulated environment would be desirable but isn’t essential.
Qualifications
* A recognised Business Analysis, Project Management or Change Management qualification, or equivalent relevant experience, is desirable.
* Demonstrable competence in Microsoft 365 applications and experience of using digital tools to support business analysis, project delivery, collaboration and reporting.
* Experience of using process-mapping and visualisation tools such as Microsoft Visio, or equivalent, to document current and future-state processes.
* Experience of using project and portfolio management tools, such as Microsoft Project, Project Web App or equivalent, to support project planning, milestones, dependencies, resources and delivery
