About the Opportunity

Stafford Lawrence is recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor Cost Consultant to join a well-established and highly regarded Construction Cost Consultancy in Gloucestershire.

Key Requirements
  • Professional Status: MRICS Chartered status is preferred; candidates currently working toward their APC are also encouraged to apply.

  • Education: A BSc in Quantity Surveying, or an HND in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management.

  • Experience: Proven track record with a reputable UK Cost Consultancy or PQS firm, with experience across building or infrastructure projects.

  • Skills: Strong communication and client liaison skills. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a dynamic, growing team.

  • Mobility: A valid driving licence is essential for site visits within Gloucestershire and the surrounding counties.

  • Right to Work: Candidates must possess a current, valid right to live and work in the UK. (Sponsorship is not available for this role).

Role Responsibilities
  • Delivering comprehensive Quantity Surveying and Cost Consultancy services.
  • Managing projects from inception to completion with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Liaising directly with clients, contractors, and other consultants to achieve project goals.
  • Reporting directly to the Director of Cost.
  • Participating in the strategic development of the team and regional project success.
Salary and Benefits
  • Basic Salary: 50,000 – 60,000 GBP per annum with flexibility for the right candidate.
  • Annual Leave: 38 days total 30 days holiday + 8 bank holidays.
