Ground Worker

Multi Trades Recruitment is currently looking for an experienced Ground Worker to join a busy road works and civil engineering project in Gloucester.

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Ground Worker with a strong background in road works, civils and general groundwork. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for ongoing project work with a well-established site team.

About the Role

You will be working as part of a site team carrying out groundwork and road works duties, helping to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Duties Include:

• General groundwork and civil engineering duties
• Road works and highway maintenance
• Excavation and trenching
• Drainage and ducting works
• Installing and working around kerbs, slabs and edging
• Ground preparation and levelling
• Concrete works and foundations
• Operating hand tools and small site equipment
• Assisting plant operators and other trades
• Moving and preparing materials
• Following site drawings and instructions
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Following all site Health & Safety procedures

About You:

• Previous experience working as a Ground Worker
• Experience with in road works, highways or civil engineering
• Good knowledge of general groundwork and site procedures
• Able to carry out excavation, drainage and ground preparation works
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Able to work effectively as part of a team
• Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements
• Full PPE required
• Relevant CSCS/NPORS or other site qualifications advantageous
