Foreman - S278 Highways Works

The Role:

Are you an experienced foreman looking for a long term contract outside IR35?
 
I am looking for a foreman to oversee some S278 highways works.
 
This is a straightforward, well-defined scheme with a groundworks subcontractor delivering the works on site with a couple of gangs.

Your role will be predominantly supervisory - managing the subcontractor day to day, keeping the works safe, compliant and on programme, and acting as the eyes and ears on site for the wider project team.

Key Responsibilities:

· Day-to-day supervision of the groundworks subcontractor and their gangs

· Ensuring works are delivered safely and in line with the programme and specification

· Overseeing street works compliance, traffic management and permit conditions

· Maintaining site records, daily diaries and progress reporting

· Liaising with the site team, subcontractor supervisors and client representatives

· Promoting a strong health and safety culture on site
 
Requirements:

· SMSTS (essential)

· Streetworks Supervisor (NRSWA) (essential)

· Experience supervising S278 / highways / groundworks packages

· Confident managing subcontractors and holding them to standard

· Based within commutable distance of Gloucester
