Site Manager, Construction Manager/ Foreman, Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Ivy Resource Group are working with a well-established main contractor to recruit an experienced Site Manager for a permanent role based in Gloucester. You will be managing a range of commercial projects in their General Works Department.

- Managing the day-to-day running of the construction site.
- Taking overall responsibility for health and safety on site.
- Carrying out site inductions, daily briefings and toolbox talks.
- Approving risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
- Monitoring that safe systems of work are being followed.
- Carrying out daily and weekly health and safety checks.
- Managing and coordinating site employees and subcontractors.
- Monitoring the progress of the project against the construction programme.
- Ensuring work is completed on time and to the required quality.
- Keeping accurate site records and documentation.
- Having a good understanding of project finances and costs.
- Liaising with the client, architect, engineers and designers.
- Identifying and resolving problems or delays that arise during construction.
- An experienced Site Manager with a background in construction and the ability to manage a variety of projects.
- A strong leader who can effectively manage site employees, subcontractors and other trades.
- Highly focused on health and safety, ensuring inductions, daily briefings, toolbox talks and site checks are completed.
- Confident in approving and monitoring RAMS and ensuring safe systems of work are followed.
- Able to plan, organise and monitor construction programmes, making sure work stays on schedule.
- Quality-focused, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with the specification.
- Has a good understanding of project costs and financial management.
- Able to maintain accurate and up-to-date site records and documentation.
- A strong communicator, able to liaise confidently with clients, architects, engineers and designers.
- Good at problem-solving and decision-making when unexpected issues arise on site.
- Organised and proactive, able to manage several competing priorities.
- Reliable and able to take responsibility for the overall performance of the site.
£45,000 - £50,000 per annum
