Milford RES is seeking an experienced Construction Manager for a gas compressor construction project based in Gloucestershire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Construction Manager with experience delivering complex construction or engineering works within the gas, energy, utilities or infrastructure sectors.

You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site construction activities, coordinating subcontractors and site teams, and ensuring the works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with the project programme and quality requirements.

• Manage and coordinate all on-site construction activities for the gas compressor project.
• Supervise subcontractors, site teams and specialist contractors to ensure works are delivered to programme.
• Ensure all construction activities comply with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Coordinate daily site operations, labour, plant, materials and equipment.
• Monitor progress against the construction programme and report any delays or issues.
• Work closely with the Project Manager, engineering teams and client representatives to resolve site issues.
• Review construction methodologies, risk assessments and method statements.
• Ensure permits, site inductions, toolbox talks and safe systems of work are implemented as required.
• Maintain accurate site records, progress reports and construction documentation.
• Support inspection, testing, commissioning and project handover activities.

• Proven experience as a Construction Manager or in a similar senior site management role.
• Experience delivering construction projects within the gas, oil and gas, energy, utilities or industrial infrastructure sectors.
• Strong knowledge of site safety, construction methods and contractor management.
• Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and managing site resources.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications and project programmes.
• Strong leadership, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant construction or site management qualifications are advantageous.
• Gas industry safety qualifications or relevant site certifications are desirable, depending on project requirements.

This contract position offers the chance to play a key role in the successful delivery of a major gas compressor project in Gloucestershire.
