Customer Service Assistant – Stonehouse – Permanent

Salary up to £25,350 per annum, 37.5 hour week (Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm).

Our client is a large distribution company that is looking to grow their current customer service team due to high demand for their products. We are seeking a friendly, approachable person with the ability to cope under pressure and to work effectively and multi‑task in a busy environment. Previous experience in customer service roles, combined with administrative duties, would be desirable.

Successful candidates will be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

The role as Customer Service Assistant will involve:

• Receive a large number of incoming calls as a first point of call into the business
• Direct calls to other departments if necessary
• Place orders via telephone or email
• Input orders efficiently and accurately
• Liaise with other departments to ensure products are dispatched and delivered on time
• Reception cover (ad‑hoc)
• Solve customer queries
• See orders through from start to delivery
• Communicate regularly with representatives to ensure excellent customer service
