Behaviour Mentor

Teacher Active is currently recruiting an experienced and passionate Behaviour Mentor to work within an inner-city school in North Bristol / South Gloucestershire
. This is a full-time, Monday to Friday role supporting pupils who require behavioural, pastoral, and emotional support
, with a strong focus on SEMH needs
.

This role is ideal for someone who is confident, resilient, and genuinely committed to helping children overcome barriers to learning.

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:

• Provide 1:1 and small-group behavioural support
• Support pupils with SEMH needs
  , helping them regulate emotions and behaviour
• Implement behaviour strategies and intervention plans
• Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and pastoral teams
• Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
• Support pupils in and out of the classroom where required

• Experience working as a Behaviour Mentor in a school or primary school setting
• Experience working in a secondary school with pastoral responsibilities
• Proven experience supporting children with SEMH
• A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning
• A HLTA qualification
• Availability to work full-time (Monday Friday, 8:30am 4:00pm)
• A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for a new DBS
• Be able to Drive and have access to your own transport due to the location of the school
