An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive community school in Gloucestershire. This two-term role, starting in January 2026, is ideal for a teacher passionate about inspiring students and helping them achieve success in English across Key Stages 3 and 4.

You’ll be delivering engaging and well-structured English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop confidence in reading, writing, and analytical skills. The school encourages creativity and supports teachers in delivering a curriculum that is both challenging and accessible.
Key Responsibilities- Teach English across KS3 and KS4 (up to GCSE level)
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons
- Support students in developing literacy and critical thinking skills
- Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental initiatives
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and academic progress
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature
- Experience teaching up to GCSE level
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- A passion for teaching and student success
- A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
