SENCO required from January 2026 to work on a full‑time basis

Excellent SENCO to lead a dedicated and inclusive SEND team

We are seeking an experienced, empathetic, and proactive SENCO to join an Outstanding secondary school based in Gloucester. This is a full-time, permanent leadership role with responsibility for overseeing SEND provision across all key stages. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the school’s inclusive strategy and ensuring that every student, regardless of background or ability, has the opportunity to succeed both academically and personally.

Experience

and Qualifications
  • Qualified SENCO (NASENCO) or willingness to complete the qualification
  • Proven experience supporting pupils with a range of additional learning needs
  • Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and inclusive teaching strategies
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
  • QTS (PGCE or equivalent)
  • Legal right to work in the UK
