SEN Teaching Assistant - Gloucester

An inclusive and nurturing primary school in Gloucester is looking to appoint a SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately. This role is available for the remainder of the academic year, with the possibility of extension.

The successful candidate will work closely with pupils with a variety of Special Educational Needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), global developmental delay, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. The role may also include supporting pupils with physical disabilities and providing personal care where required.

• 89-100 per day (Depending on experience)

• Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school or care setting
• A calm, patient and resilient approach to working with children with additional needs
• Strong behaviour management strategies and a nurturing mind-set
• Good written and spoken English and Maths (minimum GCSE grade C/4 or equivalent)
• A genuine interest in supporting young learners and helping them reach their potential
