About the role

As Head of Humanities & RE, you will:

  • Provide strategic leadership across Humanities and Religious Education
  • Set and communicate a clear vision and ethos that raises standards and aspirations
  • Lead, manage and develop a team of staff through coaching, mentoring and performance management
  • Ensure consistently high-quality teaching and learning across all subjects and key stages
  • Be accountable for student progress
    , tackling underachievement and promoting inclusion
  • Oversee curriculum design, assessment, accreditation and enrichment opportunities
  • Contribute to whole-school development, self-evaluation and inspection readiness
  • Teach your subject area to a high standard alongside leadership responsibilities

You will be accountable for curriculum quality, student progress, staff development and the effective use of resources, while championing wellbeing, safeguarding and inclusive practice.
