32.5 Hours per week, Monday to Friday

As Head of Humanities & RE, you will:

• Provide strategic leadership across Humanities and Religious Education
• Set and communicate a clear vision and ethos that raises standards and aspirations
• Lead, manage and develop a team of staff through coaching, mentoring and performance management
• Ensure consistently high-quality teaching and learning across all subjects and key stages
• Be accountable for student progress
  , tackling underachievement and promoting inclusion
• Oversee curriculum design, assessment, accreditation and enrichment opportunities
• Contribute to whole-school development, self-evaluation and inspection readiness
• Teach your subject area to a high standard alongside leadership responsibilities

You will be accountable for curriculum quality, student progress, staff development and the effective use of resources, while championing wellbeing, safeguarding and inclusive practice.

We are looking for a professional who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status and a relevant degree
• Is a highly effective classroom practitioner with a strong track record
• Has excellent subject knowledge within Humanities and/or Religious Education
• Demonstrates strong leadership potential or experience
• Can inspire trust, motivate others and build a positive team culture
• Is committed to inclusive education
