Job Overview

Year 4 Teacher required for a full‑time position at a welcoming primary school in Brockworth, starting in September for the full academic year. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive, two‑form entry primary school and take on full class teacher responsibilities within Key Stage 2 (KS2). The school provides a positive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to achieve their full potential.

• Planning, preparing and delivering engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 (KS2) National Curriculum
• Undertaking full class teacher responsibilities, including assessment, marking and reporting
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and pupil progress
• Managing behaviour effectively in line with the Primary School’s policies and procedures
• Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents and support staff to support pupil achievement
• Monitoring and assessing pupil attainment to ensure all children reach their potential

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience working as a Year 4 Teacher, Class Teacher or Primary Teacher
• Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 (KS2) National Curriculum
• Experience undertaking full class teacher responsibilities
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
• Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply

• £168.60 to £233.57 per day, equating to £32,916 to £45,352 per annum based on working five days per week for a full school year

This position is in Brockworth, which is easily commutable from Gloucester, Churchdown, Hucclecote, Abbeymead, Barnwood and Cheltenham, with excellent transport links and onsite parking at the primary school.
