Are you passionate about supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
We are currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants to join a specialist provision in Gloucester, supporting pupils aged 8-16 across three dedicated sites.
About the RoleYou will be working within a nurturing and supportive environment designed to help students who experience anxiety around attending school. The provision is split across three sites:
- Primary provision (ages 8-11)
- Secondary provision (ages 11-16)
- Girls' provision
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students both academically and emotionally, helping them to engage with learning and develop confidence in a safe and structured setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs
- Help students regulate emotions and build positive relationships
- Support the delivery of tailored learning activities
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals
- Promote a calm, consistent, and supportive environment
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Calm, resilient, and empathetic approach
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Will be required to drive school vehicles to transport students between locations
- Level 3 TA qualification preferred; the school is happy to support the right candidates in gaining this qualification.

September 2026 starts available. All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
