SEND Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)
Gloucester
Full-Time | Term-Time | September 2026
The RoleWe're recruiting a number of dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs on a 1:1 and small group basis. You'll work closely with the class teacher to help pupils access learning, build confidence, and thrive both socially and academically.
Key Responsibilities- Support pupils with SEN and behavioural needs
- Deliver targeted interventions and classroom support
- Adapt learning materials and activities
- Monitor progress and provide feedback
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement
- Support pupil's emotional well being and independence
- Experience working with children with SEND
- Calm, patient, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for inclusive education
- Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain)
- Supportive, inclusive school environment
