Are you looking to start a rewarding career in education? Do you want to gain valuable classroom experience while making a genuine difference to the lives of children and young people?
We are recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work within welcoming and supportive specialist schools across Gloucestershire. These schools support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs), ADHD, Dyslexia and moderate learning difficulties. Every day brings new challenges, but also the opportunity to make a lasting impact by helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, youth workers, support workers, sports coaches or anyone passionate about working with children. No previous school experience is essential - the most important qualities are patience, resilience, enthusiasm and a genuine desire to support young people.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll work alongside experienced teachers and support staff, providing both 1:1 and small group support. You'll help students engage in lessons, build confidence, develop social skills and encourage positive behaviour in a safe and nurturing environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
