We are recruiting on behalf of a growing and ambitious renewable energy business that has recently secured several significant commercial solar contracts within the FMCG sector.

As a result of continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Solar Electrician to support both installation and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) activities across a growing portfolio of commercial solar projects.

This is far more than a standard electrician role.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to play a key role in developing and growing the company's O&M capability, with a clear progression pathway into Operations Management and future leadership opportunities as the business continues to expand.

The Role

Key responsibilities include:

* Installation and commissioning of commercial solar PV systems

* Planned and reactive maintenance across operational solar assets

* Fault finding, diagnostics, and system optimisation

* Electrical testing and inspection

* Supporting the development of O&M procedures and best practices

* Working closely with project and operations teams

* Ensuring all work is completed safely and to the highest standards

* Supporting customer relationships and ongoing asset performance

About You

We are keen to speak with candidates who have:

* Previous experience working on commercial solar PV projects

* Qualified Electrician status (18th Edition essential)

* Inspection & Testing qualification desirable

* Experience carrying out installation and maintenance activities

* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

* Commercial electrical experience

* Full UK driving licence

Desirable Experience

* Solar PV commissioning experience

* Experience with in an Operations & Maintenance environment

* Previous involvement in commercial rooftop or ground-mount solar projects

* Leadership or supervisory experience
