Solar Field Service Engineer

Overview

Salary £30,000 - £36,000 DOE, company van and an excellent opportunity to move into utility scale solar world.

• Assist with planned inspection and maintenance according to legal, technical, manufacturer and contractual requirements.
• Learn around reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis and standard operating procedures.
• Perform reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis and resolution in a timely manner.
• Carry out site survey requests as required.
• Compile accurate and appropriate documentation for both internal and external stakeholders in a precise and timely manner.
• Keep accurate and detailed records of electrical testing, high voltage and safety documents suitable for audit.
• Ensure work output meets technical quality, reliability, cost, and productivity.
• Comply with the company Health & Safety Policy.

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Qualifications or equivalent.
• C&G 2391 Testing and Inspection.
• 17th/18th (preferably) edition wiring regulations.
• Ideally at least a year's experience from within maintenance work in either industrial, commercial or domestic capacity.
• Full UK licence.

• Keen to get into renewables, a real passion for renewable technologies such as solar PV, battery storage etc.
• Happy to travel around to sites in a field-based role.

Salary between £30,000 to £36,000 depending on experience, overtime and on-call weekends on rota, company van and tools provided, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, great opportunity to get into renewable energy.
