A global, family‑owned manufacturer located in the Gloucester area is seeking a talented Maintenance Engineer to join their team. This manufacturer produces products that are some of the most recognised names across the world in their industry.

Role: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Gloucester
Salary: £42,578
Shift: Days

• Support machinery controls, programming, and PLC requirements; read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics; carry out line and equipment set‑ups.
• Assist with, and in some cases manage, small‑scale engineering and site projects.
• Contribute to environmental and energy‑saving initiatives.
• Operate the engineering ordering system and complete breakdown, fault‑finding, and planned preventive maintenance (PPM) reporting.
• Manage and upkeep the CMMS system and support the site‑wide Quality Management System (QMS).
• Respond to intruder, fire, and utility alarms as part of the call‑out rota.
• Write and update SOPs and technical reports.
• Undertake any other reasonable tasks necessary for the effective operation and benefit of the business.

• Proven experience in a similar maintenance engineering role within fast‑paced manufacturing environments such as automotive, food, pharma, FMCG and more.
• Strong knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings and fault‑find using PLCs (advantageous but not essential).
• Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent is preferred.
