Integration Engineer

A leading public-sector programme is seeking an experienced Integration Engineer to support the delivery of a complex, secure system integrating mobile and server-based platforms.

The successful contractor will operate as a senior technical contributor, acting as a bridge between customers, application development teams and third-party suppliers. The role suits someone who enjoys working hands‑on with Linux environments, containerised services and system integration, while also being comfortable documenting solutions and engaging with stakeholders.

• 12‑month contract (with potential extension)
• Gloucester based, with work at a secure Hereford customer site
• Opportunity to work on a nationally significant, secure programme
• Candidates must hold UK DV clearance, or be SC cleared and willing/eligible to progress to DV

• Proven experience in system integration across complex environments
• Hands‑on experience with containerisation (Docker and/or Podman)
• Experience setting up and configuring applications and services on Linux systems
• Ability to configure and work with Android devices
• Basic understanding of networking and secure systems
• Experience integrating mobile and server‑based systems
• Experience managing container‑based applications and certificate management
• Ability to debug configuration and networking issues across multiple systems
• Comfortable writing software (e.g. Java, Kotlin or similar – no single language specialism required)
• Strong documentation skills – able to clearly document configurations and processes
