Associate Structural Engineer

If you are a Chartered Structural Engineer currently limited by the structure of your present firm, this role offers a strategic step into a leadership position within a rapidly expanding Gloucester based consultancy.

We are seeking an Associate Structural Engineer who has a strong background in multi storey RC frame projects to take leadership of a structural engineering team of 8 individuals. This is a chance to move beyond standard project work and play a vital role in the commercial and technical evolution of an established consultancy.

• Direct and oversee a structural engineering team at varying seniorities, taking accountability for project life cycles and junior staff development;
• Serve as the technical lead on high end RC frame schemes and a diverse portfolio across the healthcare, educational, and leisure sectors;
• Manage high level stakeholder relationships, acting as the face of the business in client and project team consultations;
• Utilise advanced analytical tools like TEKLA Structural Designer, Robot, and TEDDS to deliver designs aligned with Eurocodes and British Standards;
• Ensure commercial success by balancing technical precision with project timelines and budgetary requirement;
• Champion a collaborative office culture, ensuring seamless integration between disciplines and maintaining high communication standards.

• A BEng or MEng in Structural or Civil Engineering;
• Chartership with the IStruct
  
  E or ICE;
• A minimum of eight years’ of UK based experience in an engineering consultancy setting, with specific exposure to reinforced concrete frame builds;
• Demonstrated experience in personnel management and the ability to supervise multi disciplinary work streams;
• A professional, solution oriented mindset with the confidence to lead external project meetings.
