A well-established electrical and mechanical contractor with over 40 years' experience delivering commercial projects across the UK. They specialise in full M&E fit-outs across sectors including retail, hotels, offices, museums, educational and residential developments, with projects ranging from £20K to over £1.5 million. The business maintains high standards in planning, design, installation, and certification.

This role offers stability and the opportunity to lead an estimating function within a respected, mid-sized team. You will have autonomy and the resources to perform at a high level, including your own office and dedicated software. The team values collaboration, realistic workloads, and a culture of professional respect, with hybrid working offering three days in-office and two from home. Career progression and investment in skills are central to this role.

As Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for electrical projects currently up to £4 million. You will:

• Review and analyse tender documents and specifications
• Prepare detailed cost plans, take-offs, and bills of quantities
• Produce comprehensive, compliant estimates within agreed timescales
• Collaborate with project teams to clarify technical requirements
• Input data and manage information within estimating software provided
• Attend meetings as required to support tender submissions
• Work with the director to develop estimating strategies
• Provide input into bid/no-bid decisions based on risk and opportunity
• Monitor and track tenders from submission through to contract award
