Your Role as a Field Service and Calibration Engineer:- You’ll be field based, predominantly covering a region but with further UK travel as needed.
- You will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of this testing equipment and instrumentation.
- Examples include impact, tensile, universal, fatigue, stress, or torsion testing.
- You will be working within a variety of appealing manufacturing sectors including the aerospace, automotive, and medical industries, amongst others.
- You will play an important role in ensuring the equipment is correctly calibrated and maintained to UKAS standards.
- Compile detailed reports as appropriate.
- The field-based nature of the role will require nights away from home; on average of 1 – 2 per week.
- Knowledge of one of the following is essential:
- Materials Testing equipment, either as a current service engineer, or as somebody using the machinery in a lab. Specifically on impact, tensile, universal, fatigue, stress, or torsion testing.
- Service and calibration knowledge of load cells and connected systems such as checkweighers, weighbridges, or similar.
- A strong engineering understanding is essential in mechanical, electrical, and fluid disciplines.
- Approachable, honest, and a team player.
- Strong IT and communication skills.
- Hold a full valid UK driving licence and have right to work in the UK as sponsorship can’t be provided.
