Overview
As a release Inspector within the aerospace industry, you will be responsible for carrying out the final inspection of R&O equipment ensuring parts adhere to the specification laid out within the Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM), generating and signing the approved release certificates, and ensuring all customer, contract and regulatory requirements are observed. You will also complete layout inspection on R&O products and provide support & guidance to business support functions when necessary.
The role encourages using and implementing lean principles to streamline the process where possible.
- Final inspection of assembled props, blades and control units to specification and Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM).
- Generate all the relevant paperwork to complete final release of the product to the customer.
- Ensure traceability and compliance is maintained throughout the process.
- Support engineering/quality investigations and project work as and when required.
- Ability and experience working on mechanical and hydraulic components.
- Ability to utilise detailed manuals, drawings & other documentation.
- Minimum of HNC Mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
- PC literate and excellent literacy & numeracy skills.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working within an aerospace engineering environment.
- Team player who is inclusive in their approach.
- Inspection experience & R&O build experience.
- Good manual dexterity.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Good verbal and communication skills.
- Ability to show initiative.
- Ability to multitask and deal with a varied workload.
