Your Role Supporting the development and delivery of high-quality maintenance and repair publications for advanced landing gear systems. You will play a key role in producing compliant technical documentation, working closely with engineering and programme teams in a dynamic aerospace environment. We are looking for passionate individuals to join our as a Technical Data Author at our Gloucester site. Key Responsibilities Include:
* Develop and manage technical publications (CMMs, Service Bulletins, ICA) across the full lifecycle
* Interpret engineering drawings, test data, and design information to produce accurate, compliant documentation
* Collaborate with engineering, programme, and customer teams to support entry into service (EIS)
* Plan and manage work packages, schedules, and resources to meet programme objectives
* Act as a key interface for customers, MROs, and suppliers
* Ensure documentation quality, compliance, and on-time delivery
* Support continuous improvement and innovation, including S1000D and digital/IETP initiatives What You'll Bring
* Degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (or equivalent)
* Experience in aerospace technical publications and documentation (CMMs, SBs)
* Strong knowledge of aircraft systems (landing gear experience advantageous)
* Skilled in interpreting engineering data and producing compliant documentation (ATA iSpec 2200, S1000D, ASD-STE
100)
* Experience with technical authoring tools (e.g. Frame Maker, Arbortext, Iso Draw) and SGML/XML
* Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills
* Experience managing technical documentation projects within an engineering or MRO environment Why Safran?
