ARCA Resourcing is supporting a growing engineering business operating across the UK power transmission and distribution sector in the search for a SHEQ Advisor.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a company delivering critical infrastructure projects across National Grid and DNO frameworks, including substations, overhead lines, underground cables and associated civil engineering works. You'll play a key role in supporting SHEQ performance on major energy infrastructure projects, including one of National Grid Electricity Transmission's largest live schemes.
The RoleWorking closely with operational and project teams, you will provide practical SHEQ support across multiple sites, helping to drive a strong safety culture, maintain compliance and support continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:- Conducting site inspections, audits and safety tours
- Supporting Construction Phase Plans, RAMS and safe systems of work
- Leading or supporting incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Monitoring compliance with CDM 2015 and UK health and safety legislation
- Delivering inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings
- Supporting environmental compliance and quality management activities
- Maintaining training, competency and SHEQ records
- Producing SHEQ reports, KPIs and management information
We're keen to speak with candidates who have SHEQ experience within high-risk engineering or construction environments.

- Heavy Civil Engineering
- Infrastructure and Industrial Construction
- Other safety-critical engineering sectors
- NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum)
- Experience in a SHEQ, HSE or Health & Safety Advisor role
- Strong understanding of CDM 2015 and UK H&S legislation
- Experience carrying out audits, inspections and incident investigations
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Willingness to travel across the UK
