Junior Product Design Engineer

Our client is a leading designer and manufacturer of high-quality lighting and furnishing products, supplying the interior design and specification market. Renowned for beautifully designed and expertly made products, they are now looking for a Junior Product Design Engineer to join their Design & Technical team. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or early-career design engineer to develop their technical and product development skills within a creative and collaborative environment.

The Junior Product Design Engineer Role:
Working alongside experienced designers and engineers, you will support the development of new and existing products, producing accurate CAD data, manufacturing drawings and technical documentation.

Key responsibilities include:

Producing 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using Solid Works or similar CAD software Creating BOMs, technical specifications and product documentation Supporting prototyping, sample inspection, testing and 3D printing Liaising with Production, Quality and Procurement teams to resolve technical queries Contributing to design reviews and product development projects Maintaining accurate CAD, PDM and technical documentation As a Graduate or Junior Product Design Engineer with up to two years' experience, you will have: A degree or HND in Product Design, Design Engineering or a related discipline Good knowledge of 3D CAD and technical drawing, ideally Solid Works An understanding of materials, manufacturing processes and Design for Manufacture Good practical problem-solving skills and a commercially aware approach The ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm to develop your career What's on Offer?
