Monday–Friday, office-based Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 depending on experience About the Role We are looking for a Mechanical Design & Estimating Engineer to join a growing team based at Markham Vale, Chesterfield. This is a varied, hands-on role combining mechanical design, estimating, systems design and technical sales support. You’ll work across a range of projects, helping to develop solutions from the initial enquiry through to design and quotation.

The role would suit someone with experience in mechanical design, CAD, Revit or BIM who enjoys working across different areas rather than being restricted to a purely design-focused position.

Key Responsibilities Producing mechanical designs and technical drawings using CAD, Revit and BIM Supporting the design and development of mechanical systems and solutions Preparing accurate estimates, quotations and costings Reviewing customer requirements and developing appropriate technical solutions Providing technical and sales support throughout the enquiry process Working with customers, suppliers and internal teams to understand project requirements Producing and maintaining design documentation and drawings Assisting with project planning and delivery where required Supporting the wider business across a variety of technical and commercial activities About You We’re looking for someone with a background in mechanical design, CAD or engineering who is comfortable working across both technical and commercial areas.

You should ideally have experience with:
Mechanical design and engineering CAD Revit and/or BIM Systems design Estimating, quotations or costing Technical/customer-facing or sales support Reading and producing technical drawings
