Controls Engineer required by well-established specialist engineering company!

This is a key role designing, programming and commissioning bespoke industrial automation and machinery control systems, working on varied projects from initial design through to installation and commissioning.

Essential:

Strong commercial experience designing and programming complex industrial control systems from the ground up
Extensive Allen-Bradley Control Logix / Studio 5000 PLC programming experience
Siemens S7 / TIA Portal programming experience highly desirable
HMI and SCADA software development experience
Industrial network programming including Ethernet/IP and PROFINET
Proven experience within automated machinery / manufacturing environments
Installation and commissioning experience
Able to work directly with customers and take technical ownership of projects
Willing and able to travel internationally, including North America
Full UK driving licence
Must be within commutable distance of Cheltenham/Tewkesbury or willing to relocate

Nice-to-have:

FANUC or other industrial robotics experience, or a genuine interest in developing robotics skills
EPLAN electrical design
Machine vision systems
Project management / technical leadership experience
