THE ROLE - Manufacturing Engineer (Composites)

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stand-out aerospace engineering business as a Manufacturing Engineer in the development of aerospace components of a composite nature.

As a Lead Manufacturing Engineer, you'll need to possess both understanding of composites materials and their properties and also have a strong manufacturing background including process and quality improvements.

You'll need to be able to demonstrate key experience composite materials, with experience in carbon composites being highly desirable.

DUTIES - Manufacturing Engineer (Composites)

Support product design for manufacture as required.
Create Routings and BoM's.
Develop Process Sheets as required for Standard Procedures.
Develop and implement quality control procedures and have an Inspection plan is in place.
Working with the Tooling Design team create the Tooling Concepts / Requirements.
Develop PFMEAs to identify and mitigate risks.
Review production data and recommend improvements in quality control and efficiency
Support procurement with technical guidance.
Support BD with quotations (methodology and costings).

BACKGROUND - Manufacturing Engineer (Composites)

Experience of Composite manufacture and processing
Strong understanding of composite materials - particularly carbon fiber
Understanding quality control within aerospace.
Proficiency in CAD (Solidworks preferable)
Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing.
