£236,537 per annum

Gloucester based with travel to other schemes and offices as required

We’re looking for a Neighbourhood Housing Officer to join our team, managing a varied and active patch across Gloucestershire.

This is a rewarding frontline role where you’ll work with customers, colleagues, and partners to deliver a high-quality housing service. You’ll play an important part in supporting individuals, resolving issues, and helping to build communities where people feel safe, supported, and able to thrive.

• Acting as a key point of contact for customers and local stakeholders
• Managing a large patch, delivering day‑to‑day tenancy and housing services
• Supporting customers with a range of issues, including tenancy matters and anti‑social behaviour
• Contributing to income management, lettings, and empty homes processes
• Carrying out property visits (‘Property MOTs’) and building positive relationships with residents
• Supporting customers affected by welfare changes, including Universal Credit
• Working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to support customers with additional needs
• Contributing to community initiatives to improve neighbourhoods and customer experience
• Using data and insight to help monitor performance and improve services
• Promoting digital inclusion and access to local support

You may be a great fit if you:

• Have experience in housing, community‑based, or customer‑facing work
• Are comfortable managing a varied workload and adapting to changing priorities
• Can communicate clearly and build positive relationships with a wide range of people
• Are able to approach challenges with a calm, practical and solution‑focused mindset
• Have an interest in supporting communities and improving customer outcomes
• Can work comfortably both independently and as part of a team
• Have a good understanding of housing, tenancy management or welfare‑related areas

• A customer‑focused approach and a commitment to delivering a quality service
• Experience working with others, including partner organisations or community groups
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage your time effectively
• Confidence using IT systems, including Microsoft Office (housing systems experience helpful but not essential)

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends, where required, to meet customer needs
