Credit Controller (6-Month Fixed-Term Contract)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Credit Controller to join a well-established business on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This role will play a key part in supporting cash collection activities and reducing aged debt across a busy customer portfolio.
This is a highly customer-facing position with a strong focus on outbound collections calls, making it ideal for someone who is confident on the phone, resilient, and able to build positive relationships with customers while ensuring timely payment.
Key Responsibilities- Proactively manage and collect outstanding debt via telephone and email.
- Build strong relationships with customers to resolve payment issues efficiently.
- Reduce aged debt and improve cash flow performance.
- Investigate and resolve account queries and discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate customer records and collection notes.
- Liaise with internal departments to support the resolution of outstanding issues.

- Support month-end reporting and wider credit control activities.
- Previous experience within a credit control or collections role.
- Strong telephone-based collections experience.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Confident handling challenging conversations professionally.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and finance systems.
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Salary of £30,000 - £32,000.
