Main purpose of the role:

The primary purpose of the Health Care Field Supervisor is to ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care by supporting frontline staff and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. This role acts as a vital link between management, care staff, and service users, promoting best practice through supervision, spot checks, training validation, and audit activity.

The Field Supervisor will conduct client-facing visits to complete initial assessments, introduce the service to new clients, and ensure they fully understand their care package. They will also carry out regular service reviews, gather feedback, and act as a key point of contact for next of kin (NOK).

By championing the CQC’s five key standards — Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well-Led — and using digital tools such as Birdie for auditing, the Field Supervisor plays a crucial role in embedding quality, compliance, and compassionate care across the service.
